Check default kernel configured
grubby --default-kernelCheck default kernel is kernel or kernel-uek
cat /etc/sysconfig/kernel
Check entry numbering
awk -F\' '$1=="menuentry " {print $2}' /etc/grub2.cfg
orgrep ^menu /etc/grub2.cfg | awk -F\' '{print $2}'
setup default entry to reboot
use number below or menu output abovegrub2-set-default 1
Note: this will change /boot/grub2/grubenv
change /etc/default/grub requires to rebuild /etc/grub2.cfg
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
